22nd Annual Triangle Commercial Real Estate Conference
Conference Theme: Local & Global/Navigation & Positioning
Wednesday, January 17, 2007: 4:30- 5:30 Conference, Reception Follows
RBC Center, Raleigh, North Carolina
Will the housing market collapse? Are real estate cap rates where they should be? Will the US economy continue to prosper until 2010? Is the US trade deficit completely sustainable? Dr. Peter Linneman, principal of Linneman Associates and the Albert Sussman Professor of Real Estate, Finance, and Public Policy at the Wharton School of Business will address these and other questions at NAI Carolantic Realty’s 22nd Annual Triangle Commercial Real Estate Conference.
To accommodate the anticipated 1,400 community business leaders, government officials, investors and clients, the Conference will be held again at the RBC Center in Raleigh.
Dr. Linneman holds both Masters and Doctorate degrees in economics from the University of Chicago. He is widely recognized as one of the leading strategic thinkers in the real estate industry, and was named one of the 25 most influential people in real estate by Realtor magazine. He is a highly sought-after speaker and has appeared as the keynote speaker at major industry conferences. “While the US economy reallocates its most valuable resource -human capital- every 4.5 years, it takes 25 years to do so in economies such as France and Germany. It is essential that the US economy continues the creative destruction of jobs and businesses, as out of this destruction comes growth,” says Linneman. Steve Stroud, Chairman of NAI Carolantic will introduce Linneman.
Company President, Jimmy Barnes, SIOR, will deliver his annual ‘State of the Triangle’s Commercial Real Estate Market,’ and offer NAI Carolantic’s forecast for 2007. Information has been compiled on over 4,300 buildings representing over 175 million square feet of office, multipurpose and shopping center space.
NAI Carolantic Realty will also be celebrating its 35th anniversary as a contributing partner in establishing the Triangle as a community with a forward-thinking identity. “At our conferences over the past two decades, we have provided the metropolitan area with statistical information on the commercial real estate market to help our business clients and government leaders make wise decisions for our region,” said Stroud.
The conference, by invitation only, has become perhaps the most important and informative annual event in our region, evaluating and setting the terrain for the commercial real estate industry. Conference sponsors include: Bobbitt Design Build; The Title Company of North Carolina; and Wachovia. Reception sponsors include JDavis Architects, PLLC; Manning Fulton & Skinner, P.A.; Withers & Ravenel, Inc. and WRAL.com.
Stroud, Linneman and Barnes will be available for media interviews immediately following the Conference portion of the event. Please feel free to contact me if you require special assistance such as electrical service and post-Conference interviews to cover this event.
