Insurance Federation of North Carolina Overview

The Insurance Federation of North Carolina (IFNC) was established in 2004 by the leading property and casualty insurance companies doing business in N.C., to serve as the voice for the industry on legislative and regulatory matters, and promote consumer awareness on issues of importance to the property and casualty industry.
IFNC embraces many of the functions previously served by the Insurance News Service, including issuing press releases on regulatory and legislative matters, media training and outreach to reporters and editors on insurance news matters, and - as appropriate to the particular issue - working with the Insurance Department and other agencies and organizations to promote consumer awareness on property and casualty issues.
IFNC membership is open to any foreign or domestic company, fraternal benefit society or organization authorized to write property and casualty insurance in North Carolina. In addition, IFNC offers a Subscriber membership to any person, entity or organization that provides support or ancillary services to the property and casualty insurance industry.
