CARQUEST Represented by Manning Fulton in $2 Billion Acquisition by Advance Auto Parts

After 41 years of serving as outside legal counsel to General Parts International, Inc. (GPII), Manning Fulton is proud to have represented GPII in its acquisition on January 2, 2014 by Advance Auto Parts. The acquisition included both the CARQUEST and WORLDPAC brands. Manning Fulton’s team was led by attorneys W. Gerald Thornton and Deborah Hildebran-Bachofen and supported by other firm attorneys including William B. Gwyn, Jr. and John C. Dorsey. The acquisition creates the largest automotive aftermarket parts provider in North America, with annual sales of over $9.3 billion and more than 70,000 team members.
