The automotive industry is one of the most entrepreneurial sectors of the American economy. Automobile and truck dealers and parts manufacturers and distributors are among the most important small businesses in cities and towns across America and throughout North Carolina.
If you own a dealership, manufacturer, or distributorship, you know the rewards and challenges of building your future in the automotive industry. So does Manning Fulton. Our attorneys have experience representing clients in the automotive industry in areas including product distribution, manufacturing, franchise, supply chain management, real estate, corporate finance, contracts & agreements, mergers & acquisitions, licensing, and international transactions.
Robert L. Ange is among our attorneys with experience in the automotive industry. Robert served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of General Parts International, Inc. (“General Parts”) and was primarily responsible for its commercial transactions, with a focus on supply chain and sales agreements as well as intellectual property matters. Additionally, in 2014 he played an instrumental role in closing the $2 billion acquisition of General Parts by Advance Auto Parts, Inc. Following the closing of the transaction, he led the General Parts legal integration and transition team. Now a member of Manning Fulton’s corporate practice group, clients benefit from Robert’s vast knowledge of the automotive industry as well as his in-depth understanding of corporate legal departments.
Manning Fulton served as outside counsel to General Parts for more than 41 years before representing the privately held, multi-billion dollar auto parts distribution/retailer in the Advance Auto acquisition.
