Manning Fulton Partners Will Morgan and John Hardin will travel to Denver, Colorado this week to the Outdoor Recreation Industry Conference. Governor Hickenlooper has invited leaders in the outdoor recreation industry, including Morgan and Hardin, to participate in a panel discussion about public policies that support the industry.
Morgan and Hardin represent the North Carolina Outdoor Recreation Coalition, which is a trade association for outdoor recreation companies located in North Carolina. In 2017, Morgan and Hardin successfully lobbied for the creation of an Office of Outdoor Recreation with the North Carolina Department of Commerce, making North Carolina just the 4th state to create a similar role within state government.
“The outdoor recreation economy in North Carolina generates $28 billion in consumer spending, and is responsible for 260,000 direct jobs,” said Will Morgan, a partner at Manning Fulton. “Until now the industry has not been very organized in North Carolina, but the new North Carolina Outdoor Recreation Coalition will give this booming industry a united voice.”
