As franchisors coordinate the advertising activities of their brands and franchise sales efforts, they must be careful to make sure their advertising activities are legally compliant. This program will focus on avoiding pitfalls involved in advertising including comparison advertising, privacy regulations, and parody as well as franchise sales advertising materials. Taylor, CFE Manning Fulton & Skinner, P.A. email@example.com Ritchie Taylor is a partner at Manning Fulton and has substantial experience representing franchisors and product distributors in developing franchise and product distribution systems that comply with federal and state franchise and business opportunity regulations. Mr. Taylor is the only North Carolina attorney ever to be awarded the Certified Franchise Executive designation by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives and selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America® for franchise law. He currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives. In addition, he is the founding Chairman of the NC Bar Association Committee on Franchising. He served as the program planner for the NC Bar Association’s Basics of Franchise Law course, which was the first Bar Association continuing legal education course in North Carolina focused exclusively on franchise law. Ritchie also counsels business clients in corporate and partnership law, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions.
