ABOUT THE SPEAKER Dr. Peter Linneman Dr. Peter Linneman is widely recognized as one of the leading strategic thinkers in the real estate industry. He has published over 80 articles during his career. Dr. Linneman’s courses at the Wharton School of Business, as well as his research, focus on real estate and investment strategies, mergers, acquisitions and international markets. Dr. Peter Linneman serves as the Albert Sussman Professor of Real Estate, Finance and Public Policy at the Wharton School of Business, the University of Pennsylvania, with an emphasis on real estate and investment strategies. A member of Wharton’s faculty since 1979, Dr. Linneman served as the founding chairman of Wharton’s Real Estate Department, and was the Director of Wharton’s Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center for 13 years. Peter Linneman is also the founding co-editor of The Wharton Real Estate Review. Peter Linneman’s book, Real Estate Finance and Investments: Risks and Opportunities, has been adopted at over 40 leading universities including Yale, Brown, New York University, Columbia, Duke, Brigham Young, Villanova, George Washington and Wharton. It has become the leading reference source for those interested in real estate finance and investment and was recently translated into Japanese. Dr. Peter Linneman was recently cited as one of the “25 most influential people in real estate” by Realtor Magazine. Dr. Peter Linneman, holds both Masters and Doctorate degrees in economics from the University of Chicago. Peter Linneman is the founder and Principal of a series or private equity funds that invest in long term land developments.
