With over 24 years of commercial real estate experience, Jessica has represented clients on a variety of real estate needs including  leasing, acquisitions and sales, and financing.  Serving as in-house counsel for a large commercial landlord and developer, Jessica has gained a unique perspective which allows her to effectively and efficiently help clients with their commercial real estate needs.


Jessica’s practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate.  She started her legal career in-house with a large commercial developer and landlord where she experienced a broad range of commercial real estate matters and gained a vast knowledge of commercial leasing.  Jessica has negotiated commercial leases for retail, office, and industrial/warehouse space, ranging anywhere between 1,000 square feet to over 150,000 square feet.

In addition to commercial leasing, Jessica has represented a broad range of clients, both sellers and buyers on the purchase and sale of raw land and commercial buildings and related financing.  Jessica has also represented both non-profit and for profit clients on both traditional and non-traditional real estate financing, including bond financing.

When not working, Jessica can be found spending time with her boys or running the local greenways.

Representative Transactions

  • Advised client on property management and leasing matters for its entire North Carolina holdings, which exceeds 5,000,0000 million square feet of industrial and warehouse facilities, in both standalone buildings and multi building industrial parks. Draft and negotiate leases for spaces as small as 2,100 to 150,000 square feet, and tenants ranging from small individual owners to fortune 100 companies.
  • Handled the acquisition of a 200,000 square foot, big box fully occupied shopping center, which included funding by a CMBS loan.
  • Helped restaurant secure 10 new locations across the Country in less than 24 -months.
  • Facilitated client sale of its 26 c-store locations, which such disposition included both real property and leasehold estates. We advised/ the client regarding the complexities of selling the operating company and the underlying real estate, how to protect against tax ramifications and to protect from continuing liability related to such transfer.
  • Represented multiple non-profit corporations in over $30,000,000 of bond financing.
  • Represented client in a re-finance package of over $35,000,000 using multiple buildings as collateral.
  • Assisted in the sale of a real estate portfolio of $250,000,000 containing over 4 million square feet of space.
