The North State Journal, the only statewide newspaper in North Carolina, recently released its inaugural ranking of the state’s top lobbyists.
Applying its objective methodology, out of the more than 650 men and women hired to navigate the intersection between business, politics and public policy statewide, North State named John Hardin one North Carolina’s ten best lobbyists.
In addition to examining results achieved, North State surveyed legislators, staffers, reporters and business leaders, as well as assessed the ‘significance’ of lobbyists’ clients – by size, market capitalization and trade publication rankings.
Less than 4% of all registered lobbyists made the list.
Hardin, a litigation partner and lobbyist with Manning Fulton, represented 29 clients this year, including Food Lion, SAS Institute, Bayer, Allstate and Expedia.
