Wetrock Resources, LLC gears up for pre-sales at Wetrock Farm, a state-of-the-art green community with organic farm amenity at its heart, in Durham County.
Wetrock Farm I, LLC, an affiliate of developer Wetrock Resources, LLC, has broken ground on the 230-acre site in Durham County that will be home to one of the most sustainable green communities in the nation.
Wetrock Farm plans to be the first community of its kind, where organic farm produce will be delivered to all residents and rooftop solar energy will provide energy offsetting traditional power bills, leading to net zero energy costs.
Pegasus Land Co., a Durham based homebuilder, has already reserved lots in the first phase of the community, in both the Farm Village and Woodlands boroughs.
Wetrock Farm brings together a raft of best-in-class local contractors and consultants..Terrahawk is the road/utility contractor, D. Brantley and Sons is the water/wastewater contractor, and Kevin Tyndall Builders is the well contractor. Credle Engineering is the land planner and civil engineer, Terratech is the geotechnical engineer, and MacConnell Associates is the water/wastewater engineer for the project. Will Yadusky of Bryant Adams Inc. is owner’s representative and Tom Donegan is the on-site construction manager. Joseph (Joe) B. Bass III of Manning, Fulton and Skinner, P.A. is Developer’s lead counsel, along with fellow attorneys Alison Cayton, Kevin Prakke and Jennifer Weaver. Shaw Design Associates in Chapel Hill is the community architect. Southern Energy Management is handling green building certifications.
